Wireless transfer on cameras has, thus far, been rather hit or miss. It’s fun to shoot and transfer pictures as you’re taking them, or to remotely control your DSLR via a 802.11 connection without cables, but the transfer rate (even on 802.11 DraftN connections) isn’t the greatest.
That’s where Sony wants to comes in. » MORE

Shooting images on your camera using your memory card is a no-brainer… you pop the card in, and you go to it. Let’s say, though, that you’re shooting on location or in your studio and you want to get a better look at your pictures as you shoot them - without having to stop to download them. Your camera may have the ability to tether to your computer via a USB cable (or maybe even wirelessly). Just make sure that your camera supports (and is set to) PTP or Picture Transfer Protocol mode, and that you have the software support for it. » MORE

The Eye-Fi cards we discovered a little while ago, which are 2GB SD cards that add WiFi to any camera, are now shipping with CF card converters. That means digital SLR owners who want to add WiFi to their camera can now easily do so… yay!
Eye-Fi is neat because it acts as a memory card AND a WiFi accessory. It’s also relatively inexpensive, compared to the wireless transmitters you can get for (some) digital SLRs, although it likely won’t get near the range of some of the more dedicated wireless transmitters.
Eye-Fi will let you transfer pictures wirelessly to your computer or send them to Flickr, Smugmug, Shutterfly, Snapfish, Facebook, Photobucket, or many other photo sharing services.
The SD WiFi card itself is $99, and the CF converter is $30. You can purchase the two together for $129. Find out more at the Eye-Fi website.
